I feel I say this every week, but what a bloody roller coaster. Once again I hit an all time high of $80,000 profit before it feel right back down to pretty much where it began. The most pain was felt in the AFL, I was not around when the tips were released and when I did place the bets, I had to take line bets that were 1 point worse then the recorded bets. The biggest bet of the week was on the Sydney -40.5 line. Stupidly I watched the game and my heart nearly gave out a few times. Sydney managed to score a behind with about a minute left that made this a winning bet by half a point. I know a number of others who were on the wrong side of this line. I was feeling very fortunate about this game and thought this current run and that win were sure signs that the gambling gods had finally decided to shine on me. How quickly that changed. The next day was the Collingwood v Carlton match and as I had nothing much to do, I decided to watch the game as well. Going into the final few minutes I thought we had another nice win. But then Collingwood kicked 3 goals in no time, the last with 30 seconds to go and after a Carlton played had handballed a perfect pass to a Collingwood player. I lost that match by HALF A POINT. If I had just been around when the bets were released then I would have won it by half a point. It’s true how a loss of the same value hurts much more then the win. I was pissed for hours. Instead of a $5k profit, I had a $5k loss.
AFL still ended the week with a nice $6,100 profit. But it should have been $16,000. There is discussion of moving the release time to a Friday, which would mean I can place the bets as soon as they are given.
There have only been a few bets on the Tennis this week and they have done well, with $3,400 profit. The OTP NRL tipster made a bit of a comeback this week with $850 profit and the first game of the NBL finals resulted in a $800 loss.
The first full week of MLB action resulted in a $1,400 profit. There has been discussion about the time of release for this also as the prices move way too much early on. The time of release has been pushed back to 1am, so I am not sure I can continue following the model. I believe these were the same reasons I stopped last season.
XX Draws produced it’s first profit in some time, gaining $3,150 for the week. Skeeve continues to inch towards break even, with another $800 profit for the week. TFA Established added $2,000 profit and TFA Euro lost pretty much the same amount. The big losers this week were Combo FI with a $3,600 loss and Football Elite picked 0 from 4 to go -$8,000. I will off course follow all tipster to the end of the season, but some will be going and some will have new staking plans next season.
A small profit for the week, but good not to have back to back losing weeks.
