    Mate, you’re not disciplined enough.

You can’t miss bets! To do this (follow tipsters) you need to give up a part of your life in order to get all bets on with no exceptions.

Sounds shit? Yes but if you are not willing to do it then this isn’t the right thing for you to be doing. It’s like any job you need to put the hours in at the right time.

    Hi Jason,
For the past year I have pretty much placed every bet, there have been the odd day here and there where it just isn’t possible. A few weddings, birthdays and so on. The time’s i’ve tried to use logmein on the iphone at a party or wedding just didn’t work.

It’s not possible to place every single bet, If they had set times tips were released then it would be easier, but that isn’t the case. I do the best I can 99% of the time, sometimes it’s just not worth the effort.

When the soccer season was in full swing and bets came out about 6pm on saturday, it took me a minimum of 2 hours to place bets, I’m young and have a social life, so would always be running late, lucky I had a very understanding girlfriend so could blame the lateness on her most of the time :).

You can’t honestly tell me you have placed every single bet that has been advised the entire time you have been betting, if that’s the case I don’t envy the impact this would have on your life. This is still part time work for me.

Sadly, by missing these bets it caught up with me and cost me a massive amount, next time if it happens it could save me the same amount.

I don’t see it like any other job, It’s not a 9-5, there is no end of day where you can switch off. Today for example, I woke up, recorded all results for last nights tennis and horse racing, then when mlb finished recorded those results. AFL and NRL were out at midday so placed those bets. Tennis came out at 6:30, so placed those bets. Mlb was then up around 8. Now all that is left is to start the horse racing bot at 10:30pm and that will be my day. It’s not easy but I manage. I want to be able to do all this while travelling the world, that is the end goal.

    Sorry for the rant.

Sorry to hear you missed one of the most profitable days on saturday steve but hopefully since then especially tuesday and the mammoth day on wednesday will have made up for it but you are posting up formbet as having a ‘losing’ week when it was actually a winning one πŸ™ I would not go as far as jason but there should really be no excuses for missing any day with it taking just 5 mins to kick off the formbet bot πŸ˜‰ its a long old season though so there will be plenty of opportunities to make up for it i guess πŸ™‚

    Cheers Dave,
Yeah, got the great day on tuesday, but last nights losses took care of most of that profit :(. Still up considerably for the week.
Just gotto keep sticking at it, your history has proven how good your model is, so it’s only a matter of time before I start making some really healthy profit from it.

I don’t think it’s a rant at all mate no worries there.

Sports/horse betting is difficult, it is time consuming and it is always on your mind getting on at the right price at the right time. It’s why I was pleased to find casinos so I could give it up πŸ™‚

I guess I was fortunate as I wasn’t always on my own with my betting and between me & a couple of people who became mates we covered & placed bets for each other if one of us was away. It was absolutely critical because if you missed one winning day it can impact you massively. Your tipster will be showing a decent profit on his records but you are left lagging behind. Regardless of the result if you are betting the value then every bet has to get on.

Before I got together with these other people if I went on holiday I would set my alarm at 4am or whatever was necessary so I could get on. I hated it but just couldn’t run the risk of missing the bets.

Although I had a profitable time sports/horse betting I don’t miss it one bit.

As long as you make a profit from it mate I’m happy for you, I really am. Can you not place bets over the phone if the iphone connection gives up? do you have that as a back up plan? (Sorry I don’t know the set up in Aus).

I’m not trying to be an arse, just I’ve been through all this before and know it can be a complete nightmare and I wouldn’t fancy trying to do it whilst travellign for a long time.

Casinos were very profitable, but I haven’t touched a bonus in over a year. I really need to look at getting back into it.

The horse betting is simple as that’s a bot, but even that I managed to stuff up by not setting it up on the profitable day. I am thinking of hiring my flatmate to place bets for me. In reality a monkey could do it, so with some training I’m sure I can get him up to a monkeys standard, haha.

I think that if I quit I wouldn’t miss betting, It has dramatically impacted how I feel when I watch a game, I can no longer enjoy just sitting back and watching the game, now I know that every goal has an impact on my bets.

The dream still is to bet and make profit from it, but if this could all be automated or put into someone else’s hands and I only saw the weekly figures then that would take much of the stress out of this all, but until I’m 100% sure there will be profit at the end of each year then I can’t detach myself.

Aussie books do allow phone betting, but that wouldn’t be the issue, the major issue is that the picks only come out at certain times and I would need an internet connection to download them. A reliable internet connection is without doubt the number 1 issue holding me back from packing my bags and heading on the road. That’s why bots and maybe hiring someone might make better sense at the moment.
