February 2020 Review -$1,920.00
I look forward to February every year, it is the slowest month by far for betting. The only sport I am following in February is the NBA and the all-star weekend means I’m only betting for 20 days out of the month. I actually try and plan a quick holiday in Feb each year, but as this was the first year with my kid in school, I thought it would be a bit disruptive to take him out of school after being there only a few weeks. In reality, it would have made no difference as I ask him each afternoon what he learnt that day and am told “not even anything”, each day.
This Feb beats out last Feb for the lowest turnover month ever. Last year I bet $68,690.00 in Feb, this year it was $64,470.00.

The loss for the month came to $1,920.00 at -2.98% ROI.
I placed 56 bets over the month and won 29 and lost 27.
The month started poorly and a week in, I hit a monthly low of -$5,120 before climbing very quickly over the next 5 days to reach a month high of $3,690. Mid-month we had the all-star break and that was followed by a big crash to -$5,000 when the regular season restarted. Then a small recovery before ending the month on a small loss.

This was the only sport I followed this month. In March we welcome back the NRL and AFL models.

Once again, I’m looking forward to the return of the NRL and AFL season. Like all Sportpunter models, these seem to do really well at the start of the season before giving some profits back. I’ll be looking to follow both models for the first half of the season.
