The new year starts with a bang. Mostly thanks to the brilliant start of the Sportpunter ATP model. Even though this week is no different then any other, it still makes me feel good to get 2013 off to a nice profitable start.

ATP ended last season very badly, but this week alone has almost wiped away the loss from the final 5 month of last year. The Sportpunter models always seem to start so strong and then give a lot back near the end of the season (ATP, WTA, NBA, NHL, NBL, AFL to name a few). This is something Jonno could have a look at and maybe make some adjustments to make already great models even better. ATP made just shy of $5,000 this week and with the Australian open coming up, I hope the good run continues. I do remember two season ago losing $15,000 on the Aussie open when the model had a slight glitch in it. That was a very painful fortnight and I am betting 50% more this season.

Basketball added around $1,500 with NBL totals doing ok. This season has not gone to plan and NBL is just above break even at the moment. I was hoping for a hell of a lot better, but still a few more rounds to go.

Ahh, the bane of my existence for the last 6 months. Soccer. You promise so much and deliver so little. Well worse then that, you don’t deliver fuck all and take a shitload. Since being generous to Cassini, his XX Draws have been on a poor run, this week losing close to $1,000. Skeeve continues his pathetic run losing another $1,600, with it very lucky not to be $3,200 with a 90th minute goal saving him from many many subscriber emails. Combo FI also lost $600. TFA established made $900 and TFA Euro also made $2,400. FB Elite added $900. A small profit of $1,000 in total for the week.

So that’s that for the beginning of a new year. A great profit and one I would happily average over the entire year.
