June 25th – July 1st +$8,967.98
This week ends my 4th year of betting. I’ll have the monthly and a big season review in the coming weeks, but I am absolutely stoked by this years result. A complete fluke that I end the year at the highest level it reached all season. With a few outstanding bets to go, the unofficial season total stands at $158,190.00. There were many times this year where I would have happily taken break-even, but the repeating pattern of making all my profit from Jan-July helped bring a large negative into what for me is a massive positive. The hope is that this run continues and the new Soccer season actually performs for once. This will be a quick recap as I’ll spend a lot more time on the yearly review.
Before getting into this weeks profits and losses, some general site maintenance. You will have noticed a brand new look for the site. It’s been many years since the site had an upgrade and with year 5 being the year I come out with my course and a few other services, I thought I should spruce up the joint. I’ll be adding new sections, reviews, and other stuff and you can expect an increase in posts. If you have anything specific you would like me to write about then put it in the comments below. I’m looking forward to seeing if I can make this a viable business, I feel that I can help a lot of you make a second income like I have and as long as I can make you guys some money then that will suit me fine.
OK, onto the results and a really poor end to the ATP season, the new model started this week and it was pathetic, by far the biggest weekly loss for the model and it ends the year in negative territory. A very very disappointing season with almost $600,000 bet for a $3,700 loss. I just hope this revamped model performs as well as it is meant to or I might have to start looking elsewhere for my tennis bets. This weeks loss was a whopping $10,550. The WTA made a profit of $2,300. I’ll need to think about tennis and where I go with it. The beauty with Sportpunter is that when one service under-performs, there is usually another that over-performs and once again that was AFL, with close to $20,000 profit for the second week in a row. Just amazing. We had a scare a month ago with it going on a poor run, but that is long forgotten now and it ends the season contributing the VAST VAST majority of my profit. A total of $113,000 from what is clearly the greatest model on the internet today. We also welcomed back the Rugby with $1,850 profit, NRL added $600 and MLB Totals a further $2,400. My Sportpunter portfolio is heavily waited towards AFL, and with good reason, but it might be wise to raise my stakes on these other models also. With returns of 44% and 19% for the Rugby and NRL, I really should be taking advantage of them.
ClubGOWI had an absolute nightmare week and lost $6,000. After 7 months of racing to get bets on every single day, being frustrated when I can’t get anywhere near the odds quoted and now hardly making any profit, I can see why people leave the service. It takes a lot of patience to follow this service. I’ll continue, but my enthusiasm for this service is starting to wane.
Diamond Edge from Stat attack had a horrendous week with a $4,300 loss and PCG made 2 units profit ($1,000). Jason Kelly got me a win in the golf with a $30 bet on a $101 winner. I was watching the 4 player playoff and it was both exciting and nerve racking at the same time. $2,800 profit for the week and BetSWOT lost $600.
That wraps up 4 glorious years of betting. I feel year 5 will be a pivotal year. If I can match this years result then I will have supreme confidence in what I am doing and really start to ramp things up. I’m still unsure on a few things and I still expect a losing year eventually. I’m happy with the staking and risk level at the moment so won’t look to change too much. Time to start a new spreadsheet and begin year 5.
